Tennessee Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R) on Thursday would not give a definitive answer when asked if she is being vetted as a running mate for presumptive GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump.

“Are you being vetted?” The Hill’s Molly K. Hooper asked after a closed-door meeting between Trump and House lawmakers.

“I’m a very unlikely candidate for that,” Blackburn responded.

{mosads}Asked a second time, Blackburn, who was pitched as a “perfect” pick by CNN pundit S.E. Cupp on Wednesday, gave the same answer.

The Tennessee Republican did say that she will be speaking at the Republican National Convention later this month in Cleveland.

Fellow GOP lawmakers who attended the meeting with Trump told The Hill that Trump did not discuss his search for a running mate.
