The pro wrestler known as Cody Rhodes is hinting that he may run for Senate in Texas in 2018.
{mosads}Rhodes, whose real name is Cody Runnels, is the son of the legendary pro wrestler Dusty Rhodes.
“‘Vote Rhodes’ Texas Senate 2018,” he tweeted Friday night, with an American flag emoji. He followed up by saying “(not a drill) ((Well kinda’))”

In perhaps an indication that his political thoughts are not that serious, Runnels tweeted two hours later about watching the TV series “Making a Murderer.”
I’ve fallen down the rabbit-hole that is @MakingAMurderer …

Runnels, 31, is a Dallas resident. He performed with World Wrestling Entertainment from 2006 until earlier this year.
It was not immediately clear whether he was referring to U.S. Senate or Texas state Senate.
U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) is up for reelection in 2018. It is not known which party Runnels would seek to run under.
