Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump early Wednesday called on Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg to resign over her criticism of his campaign, saying her “mind is shot.”

{mosads}In an unusual entry into presidential politics, Ginsburg told The New York Times that she “can’t imagine what the country would be — with Donald Trump as our president.”
“For the country, it could be four years,” she said. “For the court, it could be — I don’t even want to contemplate that.”
She later quoted her late husband Martin Ginsburg, saying, “Now it’s time for us to move to New Zealand.”
Trump fired back on Tuesday, calling Ruth Bader Ginsburg a “disgrace.”
Republican senators also said the justice crossed the line.
“Is that the right move, calling for a Supreme Court justice to resign?” host Chris Cuomo asked Sam Clovis, Trump’s national co-chair and chief policy adviser, early Wednesday on CNN’s “New Day.”
“I’m not sure it’s exactly the direction you go, but I think you have to put a placeholder out there that says, ‘Hey, what you did was so out of character for Supreme Court justices that perhaps you can’t show the impartiality that you’re supposed to show when you’re on the bench,'” Clovis responded.
“We should not have been surprised at Justice Ginsburg,” Clovis said. “She has always been a firebrand.”
