DC restaurant offers drink special to celebrate Pruitt resignation

A restaurant in Washington, D.C., is offering a drink special in honor of Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Scott Pruitt’s resignation.

“Pruitt blew it! happy hour at The Bird tonight,” The Bird tweeted on Thursday shortly after President Trump announced Pruitt’s resignation.

“$4 happy hour drinks from 5-7pm, including our Pruitt Blew It cocktail special!”

The Bird said in 2017 that it would offer discounted drinks “anytime Trump fires a White House official.”

It promoted a similar drink special after White House chief strategist Stephen Bannon left the administration in August 2017, and it had a cocktail called “the Mooch” following the dismissal of White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci.

Pruitt’s departure came as the EPA chief was ensnared in a series of scandals surrounding his management, ethics and spending. He is also the focus of more than a dozen federal investigations.
