The House Education Committee’s Subcommittee on Higher Education and Workforce Development, chaired by Rep. Burgess Owens (R-Utah), is slated to host a hearing Tuesday to discuss antisemitism on college campuses.
The hearing, “Confronting the Scourge of Antisemitism on Campus,” will likely focus on pro-Palestinian protests and a spike in antisemitic threats following the beginning of Israel’s war with Hamas last month.
The committee will hear testimony from several witnesses:
- Rabbi Moshe Hauer, executive vice president of Orthodox Union
- Kenneth L. Marcus, founder and chairman at Brandeis Center
- Stacy Burdett, independent consultant in antisemitism prevention and response
- Sahar Tartak, student at Yale University
The event is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. EST.
