Omar hits back at Trump tweet: ‘Knock it off. You’re the president’
Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) hit back at President Trump on Twitter on Tuesday after he implied her criticisms of White House adviser Stephen Miller were anti-Semitic.
Omar called Miller a “white nationalist” earlier this week, leading to a tweet from Trump in which he quoted campaign adviser Jeff Ballabon accusing her of “target[ing] Jews” and tweeted a clip of Ballabon calling Omar “the most dangerous anti-Semite we’ve ever seen” on Fox Business Network.
{mosads}”In the words of my 6 year-old daughter, ‘Knock it off. You’re the president,'” Omar wrote in response to Trump’s tweet.

Conservatives, including Trump and his eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., have blasted Omar for her comments about Miller.
President Trump repeatedly called for Omar to resign during an earlier controversy in which she was accused of using anti-Semitic stereotypes in her criticism of Israel. He claimed in a speech this weekend that she “doesn’t like Israel,” a day after the announcement that a New York man had been arrested for threatening to murder her.
Miller, an immigration hard-liner, has seen his influence rise within the White House and has reportedly pushed Trump to remove more top Department of Homeland Security (DHS) officials following Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen’s ouster on Sunday.
Miller reportedly also wants U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Director Lee Cissna and DHS General Counsel John Mitnick dismissed from the department.
