Watch live: Biden gives keynote speech at DNC

President Biden is slated to deliver the keynote address Monday evening on the first night of the Democratic National Convention in Chicago.

Biden, who is the first sitting U.S. president in nearly half a century to drop his bid for reelection, is scheduled to speak at 10:50 p.m. EDT.

The speech will mark the beginning of the end of a 53-year career that included four decades in the Senate, eight years as vice president and four years in the White House as commander in chief.

First lady Jill Biden and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, the Democratic Party’s 2016 nominee, are also expected at the convention on Monday evening, as are United Auto Workers President Shawn Fain, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.), Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas), and Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.).
