Tech billionaire Elon Musk, a key ally of President Trump, spoke at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) on Thursday afternoon in National Harbor, Md.
Musk is at the helm of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) — a commission established by Trump to cut down government expenditures. While the White House said Musk isn’t technically part of DOGE, his influence over the administration has raised concerns from Republicans and Democrats alike, with many calling for a check of his power and potential conflicts of interest.
The president has stood behind DOGE, however, even as the purge of the federal workforce across the government has Washington reeling.
The Tesla CEO sat for an interview with Newsmax Political Analyst Rob Finnerty.
