Trump views site of swearing-in ceremony
Donald Trump got to see firsthand Thursday where he’ll be sworn in as the 45th president of the United States in January.
Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) hosted the president-elect and Vice President-elect Mike Pence for lunch at the Capitol Hill Club to discuss the transition, then gave them a tour of the Speaker’s office in the Capitol.

Ryan pointed down Pennsylvania Avenue at the new Trump International Hotel, according to reports. The hotel opened earlier this year just blocks from the White House.
Speaking to reporters, Trump called his meeting “very good” and “very detailed.”
“We’re going to do some absolutely spectacular things for the American people,” Trump said in the Speaker’s office. “We can’t get started fast enough, whether it’s healthcare or immigration, so many different things. … I think we’ll be putting things up pretty quickly.”
Trump ignored a question from a reporter outside the Speaker’s office on whether he supported Ryan remaining Speaker of the House. The two men feuded throughout the presidential campaign but sounded a note of cooperation following Trump’s historic election this week.
It was a busy day for Trump. He huddled with Ryan after meeting with President Obama at the White House and before meeting with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) in the Capitol.
