Ivanka Trump won’t take a job in her father’s incoming White House administration, Reuters reported on Monday.
News of her decision not to serve in the White House comes as her husband, Jared Kushner, was picked to serve as a senior adviser to President-elect Donald Trump.
Trump has previously said he would “love” to have his daughter and son-in-law involved in his administration.
Ivanka Trump, who’s been an adviser on her father’s transition team along with his two adult sons, will instead get her family assimilated into their new home in Washington, D.C., transition officials told Reuters. Ivanka Trump and Kushner have three young children, ages 9 months to 5 years.
{mosads}Trump and Kushner are reportedly moving into a house in the Kalorama neighborhood in Washington, just blocks away from where President Obama and his family will reportedly move when he leaves office.
There has been much speculation that Ivanka Trump would take on a role similar to that of a first lady. Last month, a spokeswoman for the president-elect denied that an office space in the White House meant for the first lady would be reserved for Ivanka.
Incoming first lady Melania Trump will continue to live in New York City as their son Barron, 10, finishes the school year.
Ivanka Trump has been active in the transition since her father’s stunning victory. Last month, she met with former Vice President Al Gore, a vocal climate change activist. She has also joined the president-elect on his call with Argentina’s president and sat in on his meeting with Japan’s prime minister.
Officials told Reuters that Ivanka Trump will still remove herself from management of the Trump Organization and her fashion business.
