Chelsea Clinton trolls Trump on court ruling

Chelsea Clinton on Friday mocked President Trump’s reaction to a court ruling blocking his executive order on immigration, saying Trump should expect more protests.

“Is then when someone says: WE WILL (PROBABLY, MOST LIKELY) SEE YOU IN COURT? And you will see us at airports, on streets, in parks?” the former first daughter tweeted.

An appeals court on Thursday rejected the administration’s request to resume Trump’s travel ban, setting up a potential Supreme Court showdown over the measure.

Trump blasted the court’s ruling shortly after it was handed down, tweeting: “SEE YOU IN COURT, THE FUTURE OF OUR NATION IS AT STAKE.”

Trump said earlier Friday that he will take action as soon as next week to bolster national security, hinting at a re-worked version of the executive order following his loss in the court.

{mosads}“We’ll be doing something very rapidly having to do with additional security for our country,” he said during a joint press conference with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. “You’ll be seeing that sometime next week.”

Trump declined to say what such a move would entail, and White House officials did not elaborate further on his remarks.

NBC News reported Friday that White House attorneys are working on rewriting the language of Trump’s executive order on immigration.

The president’s controversial executive order, signed in late January, imposed a 90-day ban on people from Iran, Iraq, Libya, Syria, Sudan, Somalia and Yemen entering the U.S.

The measure also froze general refugee admissions into the U.S. for 120 days, indefinitely halting Syrian refugees due to Syria’s ongoing civil war.
