Meghan McCain said Thursday that former FBI Director James Comey’s testimony to the Senate Intelligence Committee shows President Trump needs to “clean house” with his staff.

“Absolutely clean house,” she said Thursday on Fox News’s “Outnumbered.” “Especially everyone in his communications department.”

“They’ve got to get some adults who know what they’re doing in the room,” added McCain, Sen. John McCain’s (R-Ariz.) daughter.

McCain additionally criticized Marc Kasowitz, Trump’s lawyer, for the response he offered to Comey’s remarks.

“Great, it’s your longtime lawyer that helped you your three divorces,” she said of Kasowitz. “In this particular situation you’re talking about national security, possibly lying. Not the right person to send out from an optics and communications standpoint.”

Kasowitz earlier Thursday accused Comey of improperly leaking “privileged communications” with the president

“Today, Mr. Comey admitted that he unilaterally and surreptitiously made unauthorized disclosures to the press of his privileged communications with the president,” he said.

Kasowitz did appear to be grateful that Comey “finally confirmed” Trump was not under investigation as part of the FBI’s probe into Russian interference in the 2016 election.
