President Trump on Sunday pushed Republican lawmakers to repeal and replace ObamaCare, saying now is the chance to dismantle the previous administration’s signature healthcare legislation.

“For years, even as a ‘civilian,’ I listened as Republicans pushed the Repeal and Replace of ObamaCare. Now they finally have their chance!” Trump wrote on Twitter.

{mosads}Trump’s comment comes one day ahead of lawmakers’ return to Washington, D.C., after the Fourth of July recess. Senate Republicans have delayed a vote on the healthcare bill after failing to drum up the needed support.

Trump last month signaled an openness to first repealing ObamaCare and then developing a replacement at a later time.

“If Republican Senators are unable to pass what they are working on now, they should immediately REPEAL, and then REPLACE at a later date!” Trump said on June 30.

Trump returned to D.C. this weekend after traveling to Germany for Group of 20 meetings.
