White House counselor Kellyanne Conway on Tuesday criticized CNN for interviewing flood victims, while praising other media outlets for similar coverage of Tropical Storm Harvey.
“We want to thank the media for really connecting people with the information they need,” Kellyanne Conway told Bret Baier on Fox News’s “Special Report” on Tuesday.
Conway also praised the network for its coverage of “neighbor to neighbor, stranger to stranger rescues.”
Just hours before the on-air interview, Conway shared a tweet critical of CNN after a video surfaced of a flood victim lashing out at one of the network’s reporters for interviewing her and others as they sought refuge in shelters.
{mosads}”Watch this clip to end. Shames CNN to get the mike out of her face, notes her kids are shivering [and] in need of things other than an interview,” Conway tweeted, linking to the video.

In the video, a mother lashes out at CNN for putting microphones and cameras in front of flood survivors during “their worst times.”
“Like people are really breaking down and you’re in here with cameras and microphones trying to ask us, ‘What the f— is wrong with us?’ ” the mother told the CNN reporter Rosa Flores.
Almost 20 minutes afterward, Conway retweeted a “beautiful” Fox News story about a mother who was grateful for being rescued from the high Houston flood waters by first responders.
The Fox reporter, who interviews the mother while she sits in a rescue boat, similarly holds a microphone to a woman as she is being saved from the dangerous flood waters that filled her house.
Conway accompanied President Trump and other top administration officials on a trip to Corpus Christi, Texas, earlier in the day.
