Trump wishes Omarosa ‘continued success’ after White House gig

President Trump on Wednesday thanked White House aide Omarosa Manigault Newman for her service hours after the administration said Manigault Newman provided her resignation.

“Thank you Omarosa for your service! I wish you continued success,” Trump wrote on Twitter.

Manigault Newman, who is often called only by her first name, appeared on the first season of Trump’s NBC show “The Apprentice” and has served as the director of communications for the White House Office of Public Liaison.

{mosads}Trump’s tweet comes after the Secret Service pushed back on a report that said Manigault Newman was physically removed from the White House grounds after chief of staff John Kelly terminated her employment.

“The Secret Service was not involved in the termination process of Ms. Manigault Newman or the escort off of the complex. Our only involvement in this matter was to deactivate the individual’s pass which grants access to the complex,” the Secret Service said Wednesday.

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said Manigault Newman’s resignation will go into effect next month.

April Ryan, a journalist with American Urban Radio Networks, reported Wednesday that Manigault Newman yelled profanities after learning that Kelly had fired her from the administration and was subsequently removed from the building.
