President Trump’s mention of Sen. Bob Corker (R) at a rally in the senator’s home state of Tennessee on Tuesday night drew boos from those packed into the auditorium.

Boos erupted after Trump noted that Corker was among those joining him at the rally to support Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.), who is running to replace Corker after he retires next year.

Corker reportedly grinned at the crowd’s reaction.

Corker, who announced last year that he wasn’t going to seek reelection, has repeatedly criticized Trump and exchanged a war of words with the president.

“When his term is over, I think the debasing of our nation, the constant non-truth telling, and the, just the name-calling, the things that I think, the debasement of our nation is what he’ll be remembered most for, and that’s regretful,” Corker said about Trump last year.

Trump hit back against Corker by claiming that the GOP senator had constantly asked him if he should run for reelection and “begged” him for an endorsement.

On Tuesday, Trump emphasized that the rally held in Nashville was meant to boost Blackburn, who was a “very early supporter of ours and a really wonderful woman.”

“She loves your state, she loves your country, she is going to win,” Trump said.

Trump also went after Blackburn’s Democratic challenger, former Tennessee Gov. Phil Bredesen, calling him “an absolute tool of [Senate Minority Leader] Chuck Schumer [D-N.Y.] … and of course the MS-13 lover [House Minority Leader] Nancy Pelosi [D-Calif.].”
