President Trump’s former campaign aide said ex-White House communications director Hope Hicks would be the perfect choice for chief of staff because Trump will “listen to women more than men.”

Sam Nunberg appeared on MSNBC on Sunday and suggested that Hicks might be returning to the White House if current chief of staff John Kelly leaves this summer, Mediaite reported.

“She is exactly perfect for what the president is looking for,” Nunberg told MSNBC’s Alex Witt. “He is thinking about not having a chief of staff.”

{mosads}Trump wants to operate the White House like his business headquartered in Trump Tower in New York, Nunberg said.

“What he wants is to operate like the 26th floor of Trump Tower where he had a strong-willed, very good woman in Rhona Graff handling the calls, knowing him, getting his zen, things like that,” Nunberg said.

“He will listen to women more than men — believe it or not — sternly saying ‘this is not a good idea,’ ” Nunberg added.

Nunberg said Hicks wouldn’t be “insulted” like Kelly currently is when Trump goes against her advice.

Nunberg’s comments come days after reports that Kelly could leave his role sometime this summer.

The White House denied the report on Thursday but Trump implied that Hicks would return to his administration in some role.

“I love Hope. She’s great. I hope that — I’ve been hearing little things like that,” Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One, according to a CNN producer.

“I think everybody misses it,” Trump continued. “You people exhaust a lot of people. They come in full of life and vim and vigor and then they’re exhausted.”

“Many people would like to come back. Look, there is nothing more exciting than what we’re doing,” Trump added.
