Former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci on Sunday said he believes there is a “quiet majority” of people who want President Trump to succeed.
“There’s a polemical, partisan struggle and a battle of ideologies right now about what the best policies are to help people and so you can definitely feel that,” Scaramucci told radio host John Catsimatidis in an interview on AM 970 New York.
“There’s a quiet, in my opinion, a quiet majority, or what [former President] Nixon used to call the ‘silent majority’ that secretly want President Trump to do so well,” Scaramucci continued.

Scaramucci, who is promoting his upcoming book “Trump, the Blue-Collar President,” said people across the country are afraid to admit their support for Trump.
“What I find in a lot of the places that I go, people will pull me over and they’ll whisper in my ear, ‘Hey, I just want to let you know — I don’t want to talk about this at my country club, I don’t want to talk about this at my job — but I’m a huge Trump supporter,’ and they start to explain why,” Scaramucci continued.
Trump’s approval rating has consistently lingered around 35-40 percent and, according to a recent Marist College poll, Trump is as strongly disliked by the American public as former President Nixon was shortly before he resigned from office.
