Omarosa: Staffers talked openly about invoking 25th Amendment when Trump did something ‘insane’

Former White House aide Omarosa Manigault Newman revealed that she and other staffers would frequently reference invoking the 25th Amendment in response to President Trump’s actions.

Manigault Newman told MSNBC on Sunday that when Trump did something “insane” or “unhinged,” some aides would use the hashtag “#TFA,” Twenty-fifth Amendment, in text messages.

“Whenever he did something that was just so insane and so crazy and unhinged, when he would flip positions from one hour to the next, we’d just hashtag it ‘TFA’ and we’d keep moving,” the former “Apprentice” contestant said.

The anecdote comes days after an op-ed was published in The New York Times from an anonymous senior official in the Trump administration who claims to be part of an inner “resistance” against the president.

{mosads}The official said that Trump’s Cabinet had conversations about invoking the 25th Amendment early in his presidency to declare him unfit for office.

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders blasted Manigault Newman, who was fired by chief of staff John Kelly, in a statement, saying that the ex-staffer has “no credibility.”

“Everyone, even the media, knows she has no credibility,” Sanders said, according to USA Today. “The idea this ever happened is completely ridiculous and just further shows the she will say and do anything to try and be relevant.”

Manigault Newman drew the ire of the White House earlier this year with the release of her tell-all book that included a number of explosive claims about Trump, including that he said the N-word on the set of “The Apprentice.”
