Conway responds to Warren DNA test: ‘Junk science’ that ‘really doesn’t interest me’
White House counselor Kellyanne Conway on Monday dismissed Sen. Elizabeth Warren’s (D-Mass.) DNA test revealing her Native American ancestry, calling it “junk science.”
Warren, a potential 2020 presidential contender, released DNA test results that a top researcher said “strongly support” the existence of a Native American ancestor.

“But I haven’t looked at the DNA test and it really doesn’t interest me,” Conway added.

The DNA analysis was conducted by Carlos Bustamante, a Stanford University professor who specializes in biomedical data science and genetics. Warren then gave the results to The Boston Globe.
Bustamante said Warren’s test results show the “vast majority” of her ancestry is European, but that “the results strongly support the existence of a … Native American ancestor,” likely six to 10 generations ago.
Warren on Monday reminded the president that he once promised to give her $1 million if she could prove her Native American ancestry. Trump has often said she is lying about her heritage, calling her “Pocahontas.”
Trump on Monday denied ever pledging to give her $1 million.
“Who cares?” he said. “I didn’t say that. Nope, you better read it again.”
Trump joked at a rally in July that he would bring a DNA testing kit on stage if the two faced off in a presidential debate.
