Trump’s ’60 minutes’ interview draws fewer viewers than Stormy Daniels’s
President Trump’s recent interview with CBS’s “60 Minutes” drew significantly fewer viewers than adult-film star Stormy Daniels’s interview on the program in the spring, during which she discussed her alleged affair with the president.
Trump’s interview on the show, which aired on Sunday, attracted 11.7 million viewers, around half of the 22.1 million viewers who tuned into Daniels’s interview in March, according to The Associated Press.
Daniels at the time made national headlines as she recounted her alleged 2006 affair with Trump, claiming the president’s longtime former lawyer Michael Cohen paid her $130,000 in exchange for her silence ahead of the 2016 presidential election.
Cohen over the summer pleaded guilty to campaign finance violations related to the payment and implicated Trump, saying he made the payment at the direction of a federal candidate that later became president.
{mosads}The adult-film actress told New York Magazine’s “The Cut” recently that her “60 Minutes” debut marked a turning point because it proved to the country that she “wasn’t an idiot.”
The president on Tuesday vowed to “go after” Daniels, whom he dubbed “Horseface” in a tweet celebrating a judge’s decision to throw out her defamation suit against him.
The judge’s decision Monday comes in a case that is separate from Daniels’s lawsuit against Trump and Cohen to nullify the nondisclosure agreement she signed in 2016.
Daniels fired back at Trump over his tweet Tuesday, including a lewd insult while attacking the president’s record on women’s issues and “lack of self control on Twitter.”
Daniels also recently released a new tell-all book called “Full Disclosure,” in which she recounts even more graphic details about her relationship with the president.
