President Trump on Wednesday weighed in for the first time on a number of suspicious packages sent to two former Democratic officials and CNN.

In a tweet, Trump echoed Vice President Pence’s view that the attempted attacks were “despicable.”

“I agree wholeheartedly!” Trump wrote.

Police are also investigating reports of a suspicious package found at the Florida office of Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, the former Democratic National Committee chairwoman.

“We condemn the attempted attacks against fmr Pres Obama, the Clintons, @CNN & others. These cowardly actions are despicable & have no place in this Country. Grateful for swift response of @SecretService, @FBI & local law enforcement. Those responsible will be brought to justice,” Pence wrote.

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said Trump and administration officials are monitoring the developments.

“Our condemnation of these [despicable] acts certainly includes threats made to CNN as well as current or former public servants. These cowardly acts are unacceptable and wont be tolerated,” she tweeted.
