Parkland victim’s father rips David Hogg over criticism of Trump

Andrew Pollack, whose daughter was killed in the mass shooting at a high school in Parkland, Fla., earlier this year, hit back at David Hogg late Saturday over the Parkland survivor’s criticism of President Trump.

“This is just a flat out lie. @realDonaldTrump, @EricTrump, @IvankaTrump and the entire family have been incredibly supportive of my family and they understand that we need to #FixIt,” Pollack tweeted Saturday.

“Radical, unethical, sleaze ball Democrats are ruining Florida and this country quite frankly,” he added.

Pollack, who frequently criticizes Democrats in his tweets, was replying to a post in which Hogg, who has emerged as a vocal advocate for stricter gun laws, went after Trump for attacking Broward County election officials.

“Crazy that Trump is talking more about Broward County now than when 17 people were shot and killed here,” Hogg tweeted Saturday. Parkland is located in Broward County.

{mosads}Trump critiqued Broward County’s election officials last Friday over their conduct in the midterms, suggesting foul play.

“If you look at Broward County, they have had a horrible history,” Trump told reporters at the White House. “And if you look at the person, in this case a woman, involved, she has had a horrible history, and all of the sudden they’re finding votes out of nowhere and Rick Scott, who won, you know it was close, who won by a comfortable margin, every couple of hours it goes down by a little bit.”

Brenda Snipes, who is overseeing the recount currently underway, was found to have illegally destroyed ballots in 2016.

Additionally, courts found last week that Broward and Palm Beach counties were not adequately transparent about vote counting.

Florida Gov. Rick Scott (R), who is running against incumbent Sen. Bill Nelson (D-Fla.), asked the Florida Department of Law Enforcement to investigate election officials in both counties.

However, the department said Friday it is not investigating because it has not been given credible allegations of voter fraud.
