President Trump claims in a new book that he is “far greater than Ronald Reagan” and says conservative columnists don’t get him enough credit for his accomplishments.

The president told the authors of “Trump’s Enemies: How the Deep State is Undermining the Presidency” — his allies Corey Lewandowski and David Bossie — that he would be considered the greatest president in U.S. history if his name weren’t Trump.

{mosads}“The amazing thing is that you have certain people who are conservative Republicans that if my name weren’t Trump, if it were John Smith, they would say I’m the greatest president in history and I blow Ronald Reagan away,” Trump said, according to the Washington Examiner

Trump reportedly pointed to his judicial nominees, “environmental stuff” and his regulation cuts in making the claim.

“If you said that conservative president John Smith did that, they would say he’s the greatest president. Far greater than Ronald Reagan,” Trump is quoted saying.

In “Trump’s Enemies,” which hit the shelves Tuesday, Trump also claims that 85 percent of the media is “totally corrupt,” the Examiner reported.

“But people have no idea how false and corrupt much of the media is,” he said. “When you read some of these stories, you pick up The New York Times, and they don’t call you for sources. They’ll say, ‘sources say,’ and there are no sources.”

Trump has regularly attacked the media since launching his presidential campaign, often labeling negative coverage “fake news” and calling the press the “enemy of the people.”

Lewandowski is Trump’s former campaign manager and Bossie is Trump’s former deputy campaign manager.
