Trump’s most memorable insults and nicknames of 2018
President Trump, a former New York business mogul, knows the power of political branding.
Trump has been using nicknames and insults to taunt his political enemies since the early days of his 2016 presidential run.
He tagged former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (R) as “low energy” and mocked Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) as “Little Marco.”
{mosads}The president still uses the moniker of “Crooked Hillary” to attack his former Democratic opponent, Hillary Clinton.
Here’s a look at some of Trump’s most memorable insults from 2018.
‘Wacky and Deranged’ Omarosa
.@MarkBurnettTV called to say that there are NO TAPES of the Apprentice where I used such a terrible and disgusting word as attributed by Wacky and Deranged Omarosa. I don’t have that word in my vocabulary, and never have. She made it up. Look at her MANY recent quotes saying….

When you give a crazed, crying lowlife a break, and give her a job at the White House, I guess it just didn’t work out. Good work by General Kelly for quickly firing that dog!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 14, 2018
The president did not hold back after his former adviser, Omarosa Manigault Newman, released a tell-all memoir earlier this year.
Trump called her “wacky and deranged” and a “crazed, crying lowlife.”
However, he faced backlash when he called Manigault Newman, once the highest-ranking African-American in the West Wing, a “dog.”
‘Horseface’ Stormy Daniels
“Federal Judge throws out Stormy Danials lawsuit versus Trump. Trump is entitled to full legal fees.” @FoxNews Great, now I can go after Horseface and her 3rd rate lawyer in the Great State of Texas. She will confirm the letter she signed! She knows nothing about me, a total con!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) October 16, 2018
Trump was criticized this year when he called adult-film star Stormy Daniels a “horseface” in October after a court victory over his alleged former mistress.
A federal judge in California had tossed out Daniels’s defamation lawsuit against Trump and ordered Daniels to pay the president’s legal fees.
Daniels’s attorney, Michael Avenatti, responded by calling Trump a “disgusting misogynist” and a “liar” who has dishonored his family and country.
Conor ‘Lamb The Sham’
.@VP Pence is heading to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where we have both strongly endorsed one of the finest men around, Congressman Keith @RothfusForPA. He is running against #LambTheSham, who is telling…
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) June 23, 2018
The president used a rhyme and a hashtag to attack Pennsylvania Rep. Conor Lamb (D) while endorsing Lamb’s opponent, Rep. Keith Rothfus (R-Pa.) in the battle for the state’s newly drawn 17th District.
Lamb won the seat in November.
‘Slime ball’ James Comey
James Comey is a proven LEAKER & LIAR. Virtually everyone in Washington thought he should be fired for the terrible job he did-until he was, in fact, fired. He leaked CLASSIFIED information, for which he should be prosecuted. He lied to Congress under OATH. He is a weak and…..
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) April 13, 2018
….untruthful slime ball who was, as time has proven, a terrible Director of the FBI. His handling of the Crooked Hillary Clinton case, and the events surrounding it, will go down as one of the worst “botch jobs” of history. It was my great honor to fire James Comey!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) April 13, 2018
Former FBI Director James Comey is frequently a target of Trump’s Twitter feed.
After Comey called the president unfit for office while supporting the release of his book in April, Trump fired back by calling him a “proven LEAKER & LIAR” and a “slime ball” who “should be prosecuted.”
He also called Comey “slippery” and a “man who always ends up badly and out of whack (he is not smart!), will go down as the WORST FBI Director in history, by far!”{mossecondads}
‘Sour’ Don Lemon
Trump refers to CNN’s Don Lemon as “Sour Lemon,” according to Trump’s former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci.
Lemon has also been called “dumb as a rock” and a “lightweight” by the president.
‘1 Percent’ Joe Biden
Trump has mocked former Vice President Joe Biden’s performance in the 2008 Democratic presidential primary, when the then-senator exited the race after the Iowa caucuses with just 1 percent support.
Biden leads the field of potential Democratic candidates to challenge Trump in 2020, according to a poll of likely Iowa caucusgoers released earlier this month.
The two men have been verbally sparring ever since Biden declared at a rally in Florida in March that he would have taken Trump “behind the gym and beat the hell out of him” in high school.
Biden later said he regretted the comment, but Trump hasn’t forgotten it.
“Remember he challenged me to a fight. ‘I’d like to take him behind the barn.’ I’d love that. That wouldn’t last long. That would not last long. That wouldn’t last long,” Trump said, imitating Biden in October.
‘Da Nang Dick’ Blumenthal
….left and right, he then woke up from his dream screaming that HE LIED. Next time I go to Vietnam I will ask “the Dick” to travel with me!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) December 8, 2018
Trump mocked Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) this month for past statements he made about serving in Vietnam. Blumenthal served in the Marine Corps Reserves during the war but did not go to Vietnam.
‘Sloppy’ Stephen Bannon and ‘Sloppy’ Carl Bernstein
Michael Wolff is a total loser who made up stories in order to sell this really boring and untruthful book. He used Sloppy Steve Bannon, who cried when he got fired and begged for his job. Now Sloppy Steve has been dumped like a dog by almost everyone. Too bad! https://t.co/mEeUhk5ZV9
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 5, 2018
Trump branded both his former chief strategist and a veteran Watergate reporter as “sloppy.”
Trump slammed Stephen Bannon as “sloppy” after he fell out of favor with the White House over his comments in the Michael Wolff’s book “Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House.”
Trump then recycled the nickname to launch an attack against Carl Bernstein, a CNN contributor, over a report about the 2016 Trump Tower meeting.
CNN is being torn apart from within based on their being caught in a major lie and refusing to admit the mistake. Sloppy @carlbernstein, a man who lives in the past and thinks like a degenerate fool, making up story after story, is being laughed at all over the country! Fake News

‘Little’ Adam Schiff and ‘Little Adam Schitt’
Little Adam Schiff, who is desperate to run for higher office, is one of the biggest liars and leakers in Washington, right up there with Comey, Warner, Brennan and Clapper! Adam leaves closed committee hearings to illegally leak confidential information. Must be stopped!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) February 5, 2018
So funny to see little Adam Schitt (D-CA) talking about the fact that Acting Attorney General Matt Whitaker was not approved by the Senate, but not mentioning the fact that Bob Mueller (who is highly conflicted) was not approved by the Senate!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 18, 2018
Trump lashed out at Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), the top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, in February and accused him of leaking confidential information. Schiff denied the claims and said Trump was spreading “false smears.”
The president in November tweaked the label to read “Little Adam Schitt” after the congressman suggested the appointment of acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker was unconstitutional.
‘Sneaky’ Dianne Feinstein
The fact that Sneaky Dianne Feinstein, who has on numerous occasions stated that collusion between Trump/Russia has not been found, would release testimony in such an underhanded and possibly illegal way, totally without authorization, is a disgrace. Must have tough Primary!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 10, 2018
Trump lashed out at Sen. Dianne Feinstein (Calif.), the top Democrat on the Senate Judiciary Committee, in January after she released more than 300 pages of interview transcripts between Fusion GPS co-founder Glenn Simpson and committee lawmakers.
‘High Tax’ Charles Schumer
Obama, Schumer and Pelosi did NOTHING about North Korea, and now weak on Crime, High Tax Schumer is telling me what to do at the Summit the Dems could never set up. Schumer failed with North Korea and Iran, we don’t need his advice!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) June 8, 2018
Trump fired off this new nickname for Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) after Schumer warned him against “seat of the pants negotiating” during his historic June meeting with North Korean Leader Kim Jong Un.
‘Sleepin’ Bob’ Casey
Trump introduced a new nickname for Sen. Bob Casey Jr. (D-Pa.) while at a campaign rally in August.
“So Bob Casey, boy isn’t that boring … I’ll start falling asleep,” Trump said, appearing to make up the nickname on the spot. “Don’t fall asleep as we talk about Sleepin’ Bob.”
Casey went on to defeat a Trump-backed Republican challenger, Rep. Lou Barletta (Pa.) to secure his third term in the Senate.
‘Crazy’ Maxine Waters
Crazy Maxine Waters, said by some to be one of the most corrupt people in politics, is rapidly becoming, together with Nancy Pelosi, the FACE of the Democrat Party. Her ranting and raving, even referring to herself as a wounded animal, will make people flee the Democrats!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 3, 2018
Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) has emerged as one of the president’s fiercest critics in Congress and often calls for his impeachment.
She received pushback from Trump and his supporters in June after she called on people to confront Trump Cabinet officials in public spaces like restaurants and department stores.
Trump said the congresswoman was “ranting and raving” and driving people away from the Democratic Party.
‘Wacky Jacky’ Rosen
Trump blasted Nevada Democratic Rep. Jacky Rosen in September during her Senate race against Sen. Dean Heller (R-Nev.).
He railed against her during a Las Vegas rally, but Rosen ended up being victorious during the midterm elections, giving Democrats a win in one of their few pick-up opportunities in the Senate.
‘Mr. Kurd’
When calling on reporters during a September press conference, Trump referred to a Kurdish journalist as “Mr. Kurd.”
The reporter was later identified as Rahim Rashidi of Kurdistan TV. He told a New York Times reporter that he loved Trump’s introduction.
“He made me happy by this sentence,” he said.
I just spoke with “Mr. Kurd.”
His name is Rahim Rashidi, he works for Kurdistan TV, and he is thrilled.
“I love it!” he said of Trump. “He made me happy by this sentence.”
