Trump Foundation to sell off remaining assets including Trump paintings, Tebow-signed helmet
As part of an agreement it reached with the New York attorney general’s office to dissolve, President Trump’s charity, the Donald J. Trump Foundation, must sell off its remaining assets.
Included among the assets Trump must sell are a Tim Tebow-signed Denver Broncos football helmet and two paintings of Trump, according to The Washington Post.
The reported value of the three items is $975, according to a recent filing with the IRS. Trump reportedly paid $12,000 for the Tebow-signed helmet and a combined $30,000 for the two portraits.
The foundation must donate to charity any money made from selling the items.
The Trump Foundation’s agreement with New York Attorney General Barbara Underwood (D) forces it to dissolve under judicial supervision within 30 days.
The lawsuit against the foundation alleges Trump used the charity for political gain and for his personal profit.
Underwood argued in the lawsuit that the charity “was little more than a checkbook for payments to not-for-profits from Mr. Trump or the Trump Organization.”
