President Trump on Wednesday appeared with a poster inspired by the book-series-turned-HBO show “Game of Thrones” during a Cabinet meeting at the White House.
The unusual prop, which features a photo of Trump behind the phrase “Sanctions Are Coming,” lay in front of the president on top of a table inside the Roosevelt Room, where Cabinet secretaries were seated.
The image first appeared in a Trump tweet in November and was designed to promote the reimposition of sanctions on Iran that were lifted under the Obama-era nuclear deal.
Trump did not address the poster during the 95-minute portion of the meeting that was open to the news media.
