President Trump played golf on Friday with conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh, one day after the release of special counsel Robert Mueller’s report on the Russia investigation.
The White House said Trump played a round with “Limbaugh and a couple friends,” without naming them. The foursome teed off at the president’s private golf club in West Palm Beach, Fla.
{mosads}Limbaugh has been a staunch defender of Trump and has encouraged the president to launch a counter-investigation into the origins of the Russia probe, which the both men have called a “hoax.”
The longtime radio host also appeared on stage with Trump during the president’s final midterm campaign rally in Limbaugh’s hometown of Cape Girardeau, Mo.
The president spent the morning grousing about some former aides who offered testimony to Mueller, and called some of the report’s claims “bullshit.” Trump has previously framed the document as a “complete and total exoneration.”
Trump decamped to his Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Fla., for Easter weekend; there, he is expected to spend time with his family and White House staff.
