Trump to give Air Force Academy commencement address

President Trump will deliver the commencement address at the U.S. Air Force Academy’s graduation ceremony next month, the White House announced Thursday.

Trump will travel to Colorado Springs, Colo., for the ceremony on May 30. Press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders shared the news during a mock briefing with children at the White House for Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day.

{mosads}The president delivered the commencement address at the Naval Academy last year, and spoke at Liberty University’s graduation ceremony in 2017.

Trump’s appearance in Colorado will be sandwiched between a pair of international trips.

The president and first lady are set to travel to Japan from May 25-28 for a state visit, where they are slated to meet with Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and new Emperor Naruhito.

Trump will make a state visit to the United Kingdom the first week of June. He is scheduled to participate in a D-Day anniversary ceremony in the British town of Portsmouth that coincides with the 75th anniversary of the Allied invasion of Europe.

He will travel to Normandy for the 75th anniversary of D-Day on June 6.
