Trump: ‘Corrupt and deranged’ mainstream media won’t cover ‘REAL Russia Hoax’

President Trump went off on the “corrupt and deranged” mainstream media in a series of tweets Monday morning.

“The Mainstream Media has never been as corrupt and deranged as it is today,” Trump tweeted. “FAKE NEWS is actually the biggest story of all and is the true ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE! That’s why they refuse to cover the REAL Russia Hoax.”

Trump in the posts knocked coverage of his financial history now that special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation is complete.

“Now the new big story is that Trump made a lot of money and buys everything for cash, he doesn’t need banks. But where did he get all of that cash? Could it be Russia?” Trump quipped. “No, I built a great business and don’t need banks, but if I did they would be there…and DeutscheBank was very good and highly professional to deal with — and if for any reason I didn’t like them, I would have gone elsewhere.”

{mosads}Trump has consistently decried “fake news” coverage of his presidency, notably reports surrounding Mueller’s investigation.

Trump earlier in the morning attacked The New York Times over a recent report that found Deutsche Bank’s anti-money laundering personnel previously recommended turning over information about transactions by entities controlled by Trump and Jared Kushner, his son-in-law and a senior White House adviser, to a government watchdog.

Current and former employees of the bank told the Times that some transactions connected to the since-dissolved Trump Foundation would be flagged by a computer system set up to notify staff of unlawful activity. The bank ultimately never filed the suspicious activity reports with the Treasury Department.

Trump in his tweets said he did not rely on just one bank and there “was always plenty of money around.”

“There was always plenty of money around and banks to choose from. They would be very happy to take my money. Fake News!” Trump wrote.

The Times also this month published a report documenting Trump’s financial losses between 1985 and 1994, reportedly to the tune of more than $1 billion.
