READ: White House letter defying subpoena for McGahn’s testimony
The White House on Monday told Congress former White House counsel Don McGahn will not comply with a House Judiciary Committee subpoena for his testimony.
{mosads}”The Department of Justice (the ‘Department’) has advised me that Mr. McGahn is absolutely immune from compelled congressional testimony with respect to matters occurring during his service as a senior adviser to the President,” White House counsel Pat Cipollone wrote in a letter to House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.) released by the White House.
