Here are the top paid White House staffers
The White House released its annual report on staff salaries Wednesday, showing 22 employees make the maximum amount of $183,000 as of the end of June.
Among the highest paid employees in the West Wing are White House counselor Kellyanne Conway, national security adviser John Bolton, White House counsel Pat Cipollone, recently departed press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders and newly minted press secretary Stephanie Grisham, according to an annual report.{mosads}
Mercedes Schlapp, the director of strategic communications, also makes the maximum salary, but announced this week she would be leaving the administration for a job on the Trump campaign.
Twenty-one White House staffers made the maximum salary of $183,000 last year.
Other notable salaries include acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney, who makes $203,500. His salary is higher than other West Wing staffers as he has also retained his title as head of the Office of Management and Budget.
Trump’s daughter and son-in-law, Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, each made $0 as senior advisers to the president. Both opted to forgo their salaries.

- Stephanie A. Grisham, who was just named the new White House press secretary
- Joseph J. Grogan, assistant to the president and director of the domestic policy council
- Larry Kudlow, director of the National Economic Council
- Charles G. Kupperman, assistant to the president and deputy national security advisor
- Derek S. Lyons, assistant to the president and staff secretary
- Stephen Miller, assistant to the president and senior advisor for policy
- Peter K. Navarro, assistant to the president for the trade and manufacturing policy
- Lindsay B. Reynolds, assistant to the president and chief of staff to the first lady
- Brooke L. Rollins, assistant to the president for strategic initiatives
- Brooke Rollins, assistant to the president for strategic initiatives
- Dan J. Scavino, assistant to the president and senior advisor for digital strategy
- Mercedes V. Schlapp, assistant to the president and senior advisor for digital strategy

The White House is required by law to send its salary report to Congress each June. Those with the title “assistant to the president” can earn up to $183,000.
Former government ethics expert Walter Shaub noted in a Friday tweet that some Trump advisers who have been accused of violating the Hatch Act multiple times received raises this year, including Trump counselor Conway and Grisham.
