Former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley defended President Trump on Tuesday, saying that she believed the president was “truthful” in all of his dealings with her.

In an interview with Savannah Guthrie on NBC’s “TODAY” show, Haley defended Trump as “great to work with” and reiterated that she did not share the concerns of other former officials, such as John Kelly, regarding Trump’s aptitude for the job.

{mosads}”In every instance that I dealt with him, he was truthful, he listened and he was great to work with,” Haley said, adding: “Savannah, I talked to him multiple times and when I had issues, he always heard me out. I never had any concerns on whether he could handle the job, ever.”

Haley’s comments come as she has defended the president in recent days over a claim made in her upcoming memoir, “With All Due Respect: Defending America with Grit and Grace,” that Kelly and former Secretary of State Rex Tillerson approached her to assist them in undermining the president.

The former ambassador said she refused the offer and alerted Trump to the conversation, though the White House has remained silent on the claim that the president’s former chief of staff and State Department chief were actively working to curb his impulses on some issues.

Tillerson for his part has denied Haley’s claims in full, telling The Washington Post on Monday that he never sought to “undermine” Trump.

“During my service to our country as the Secretary of State, at no time did I, nor to my direct knowledge did anyone else serving along with me, take any actions to undermine the President,” he said.
