Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton (D) said Tuesday that every day White House adviser Stephen Miller remains at his job presents an “emergency” for the country.
In a tweet, Clinton became the latest Democrat to call for Miller’s resignation after a report from the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) revealed that Miller had circulated materials related to white nationalism to conservative media organizations before joining the White House.

Clinton’s tweet directed her followers to a letter released Monday by 59 civil rights groups including the NAACP calling for President Trump to fire Miller.
“Allowing him to remain a White House advisor is a betrayal of our national ideals of justice, inclusion, and fairness. We call on you to halt your own hateful actions and rhetoric and remove all hate enthusiasts from the administration,” wrote the organizations.
Trump has not commented publicly on Miller’s future in the administration, but deputy White House press secretary Hogan Gidley expressed support for Miller while attacking the SPLC in a statement last week.
“I work with Stephen. I know Stephen. He loves this country and hates bigotry in all forms – and it deeply concerns me as to why so many on the left consistently attack Jewish members of this Administration,” he said.
