The new Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) spokesman, Michael Caputo, allegedly deleted crude comments toward several women before starting at HHS last month.

According to a Friday report from CNN’s investigative unit K-File, Caputo called several women “dogface” among other epithets before he deleted nearly his entire Twitter history before April 12. The former Trump campaign aide started the new position at HHS on April 15.

Among the women he targeted was Alexandra Chalupa, a Democratic consultant, whom he called a “lying piece of garbage” and a “nutty hag.”

Caputo also posted several tweets harassing Lisa Page, the former FBI attorney who exchanged anti-Trump text messages on a government cell phone with FBI agent Peter Strzok. The Justice Department released the texts in 2016. Page and Strzok were engaged in an affair while working on the Hillary Clinton email probe and the investigation into Russia’s election interference.

Caputo, who was questioned by special counsel Robert Mueller’s prosecutors during the probe, called Page a “jezebel” and a “notorious homewrecker.”

The now-HHS spokesman also directed his ire at former Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein during the House impeachment inquiry, calling him a “piece of shit,” a “traitor,” a “scumbag” and a “seditionist.”

Caputo also called Mark Zaid, the attorney who represented the whistleblower whose complaint led to the president’s impeachment inquiry, a “very weird leftist person with zero testosterone” and a “eunuch.”

HHS did not immediately respond to a request for comment from The Hill.

Caputo responded to the CNN article by saying that the outlet’s reporting on his threatening and offensive tweets have led to harassment directed toward him.

“I stopped caring about what handwringing, virtue signaling leftists think of me after their 59th death threat against my family. Have fun with this while I’m fighting a deadly pandemic 24/7,” he told CNN.
