Trump to return to Florida for rescheduled SpaceX launch
President Trump will return to Cape Canaveral, Fla., on Saturday for the rescheduled SpaceX launch.
Trump tweeted Wednesday from Air Force One that he will be returning for the weekend launch.
“Thank you to @NASA and @SpaceX for their hard work and leadership. Look forward to being back with you on Saturday!” the president said.

White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows confirmed the president’s tweet, telling reporters Trump will return to Florida on Saturday if the launch looks like it will take place at the next available window.
The launch was cancelled Wednesday due to weather conditions.
The SpaceX launch will be the first time American astronauts will be sent into orbit from U.S. soil since 2011.
Astronauts Dough Hurley and Robert Behnken were slated to be launched to the International Space Station aboard SpaceX’s Dragon Crew capsule. The launch was postponed due to storm winds, heavy rain and lightning.
The next available launch window will be on Saturday and Sunday.
