Donald Trump is being “gracious” by not prosecuting Hillary Clinton for her use of a private email server even though she is going along with an effort to recount ballots in key swing states, a top aide to the president-elect said Sunday.

{mosads}”This is the president-elect’s position right now, and I would say he’s been incredibly gracious and magnanimous to Secretary Clinton at a time when, for whatever reason, her folks are saying they will join in a recount to try to somehow undo the 70-plus electoral votes that he beat her by,” Kellyanne Conway said on CNN’s “State of the Union.”

“She congratulated him, and she conceded to him on election night, and the idea that we are going to drag this our now when the president-elect has been incredibly magnanimous to Clinton and the Obamas is pretty incredible.”

Jill Stein, the Green Party’s 2016 presidential nominee, has raised money for a recount effort in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Michigan. Stein filed for a recount in Wisconsin Friday, and Clinton’s campaign indicated it would take part in the efforts.

Trump has rebuked the effort, calling it a “scam.”

Trump said last week he didn’t feel strongly about seeking charges against Clinton for her use of a private email server while secretary of State.
