Democratic National Committee (DNC) interim chairwoman Donna Brazile said on Sunday the DNC was not a match for Russian cyber attacks throughout the presidential campaign.
“We were fighting foreign adversary in the cyber space. The Democratic National Committee, we were no match. And yet we fought constantly,” Brazile told ABC’s “This Week.”
Brazile said the Obama administration informed the DNC of the hack in May.
The administration formally accused Russia of trying to interfere in the presidential elections in October.
She also said the Democratic Party is calling for an “independent bipartisan investigation.”
“That’s why I think it’s important that Congress takes a very open approach to looking at what happened, how it evolved, what was Russia’s motives,” she said.
