Trump says Warren’s 2020 campaign is ‘finished’

President Trump slammed Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) on Saturday at a campaign rally in Wisconsin, calling her “Pocahontas” and saying her presidential campaign is “finished.”

He also took aim at Warren for releasing DNA results last year that showed she had a Native American ancestor from between six and 10 generations ago.

“I think Pocahontas, she’s finished. She’s out. She’s gone. When it was found that I had more Indian blood in me than she did, and then it was determined I had none, but I still had more, that was the end of her 32-year scam,” Trump said.

Trump has repeatedly slammed Warren for her claims of Native American ancestry, frequently calling her “Pocahontas,” a term some see as a racial slur.

Warren faced scrutiny after identifying herself as a Native American while serving a professor, though a report by The Boston Globe showed the claims played no role in her advancement throughout her career.

Warren said this month she had raised $6 million for her presidential bid in the first three months of 2019, well below other prominent contenders, including Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) and former Rep. Beto O’Rourke (D-Texas).

Trump was in Wisconsin to address supporters on the same night of the White House correspondents’ dinner.
