Americans for Prosperity (AFP), the conservative political action committee backed by Charles Koch, launched an eight-figure ad campaign Monday attacking President Biden over his economic policy.

The campaign hits the president over “Bidenomics,” arguing the president’s policies have led to high prices and a bad ecnonomy.

“President Biden will try to paint a rosy picture about Bidenomics in his State of the Union this week, but it’s no use pretending high prices are someone else’s fault. The reality is that everything costs more due to President Biden’s big government spending binge,” AFP Vice President Akash Chougule said in a statement.

“It’s time to tell Joe Biden and his allies in Congress that we’ve had enough of Bidenomics,” he added.

The ad blitz centers on digital, television and physical ads in the Washington, D.C., area starting this week, just in time for Biden’s State of the Union address Thursday. It will continue through the fall with digital and mail outreach, door-knocking and phone calls, the group said.

The focal point of the campaign is a website, Bidenomics.com, which the group said shows the truth about the president’s policies that he “doesn’t want you to see.”

Biden has rated poorly on the economy in polls, even as the White House points out that inflation has fallen, unemployment is at a historic low and the nation has avoided a recession.

The White House at times has leaned into the “Bidenomics” message to tout the president’s handling of the economy. But the president’s GOP critics have sought to use the same name as a weapon against Biden.

In a survey from The Associated Press and NORC Center for Public Affairs Research released Monday, just 34 percent of voters approved of Biden’s handling of the economy.
