Harris tied with Trump in Pennsylvania and Michigan, down 1 point in Wisconsin: Fox News
Vice President Harris is tied with former President Trump in Pennsylvania and Michigan, and down 1 point from him in Wisconsin in a set of new Fox News polls released Friday.
The polls found Harris and Trump tied at 49 percent support in Pennsylvania and Michigan, and the vice president at 49 percent support in comparison to the former president’s 50 percent in Wisconsin.
Harris is now the likely Democratic nominee after former President Biden dropped out of the race last weekend. She has quickly garnered key endorsements from those in her party and raked in massive amounts of fundraising in only the first week of her presidential campaign.
Back in April in the same three swing states, Biden was tied at 48 percent with Trump in Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, and was 3 points behind the former president in Michigan, at 46 percent support to Trump’s 49 percent.
Biden left the presidential race after weeks of turmoil in his party over his candidacy sparked by a bad presidential debate performance last month. He quickly endorsed Harris after announcing that he was dropping out.
A new poll from the Wall Street Journal found Trump leading Harris by 2 points, with the former president at 49 percent support to the vice president’s 47 percent.
The Fox News polls were conducted between July 22 and 24, with 1,046 registered voters in Wisconsin, 1,034 registered voters in Pennsylvania and 1,012 registered voters in Michigan. The margin of sampling error of all of the states is plus or minus 3 percentage points.
