Trump, Harris campaigns rally voters on the East Coast
Vice President Harris and former President Trump are hosting some of their largest campaign events in crucial states this weekend.
Harris will give remarks at a church in Philadelphia on Sunday morning before hosting a campaign event in the city and then flying to Kalamazoo, Mich., for an interview with CBS’s Norah O’Donnell, according to a Harris-Walz release.
The Democratic nominee is trailing Trump in the Keystone State, while the two are tied in Michigan, according to Decision Desk HQ’s polling aggregates. Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D), are looking to regain voters’ attention in the final days before the election.
The former president will stump in his hometown of New York City during a star-studded event at Madison Square Garden.
Trump’s running mate, Ohio Sen. JD Vance (R), will speak alongside Elon Musk, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) and singer Lee Greenwood, among others.
The campaign release said Trump will discuss why he is the “best choice” to “fix everything that Kamala Harris broke.”
The Harris-Walz team announced Walz is scheduled to spend Sunday in Las Vegas encouraging residents to vote early.
He’ll host a campaign event in the morning before joining the Native Americans for Harris-Walz gathering and end the day with Latino con Harris-Walz’s Raiders game watch party geared toward “getting out the vote.”
Second gentleman Douglas Emhoff is also expected to appear on the campaign trail with an early voting event in Atlanta on Sunday.
