Patti Solis Doyle Sunday gave up her post as Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton’s (D-N.Y.) campaign manager, a role that will now be filled by Maggie Williams.
{mosads}“Patti Solis Doyle has done an extraordinary job in getting us to this point – within reach of the nomination – and I am enormously grateful for her friendship and her outstanding work,” Clinton said in a statement.
Solis Doyle, in her announcement, had noted that the campaign to this point has already been the longest in history. She will continue to serve the campaign as a senior adviser.
Clinton praised Maggie Williams, with whom she has worked since her White House days, saying that she “will lead our campaign with great skill towards the nomination.”
