Dem: ‘We won’t stop fighting’ for Trump tax returns
Rep. Don Beyer (D-Va.) on Sunday said he will not stop pushing the Trump administration to release the president’s tax returns. The House Democrat was responding to a report that Trump’s son, Eric, once told a golf writer that funding for Trump golf courses comes from Russia.
“We need @realDonaldTrump‘s tax returns to find the truth and show what he’s hiding. We won’t stop fighting to get them. #TrumpRussia,” Beyer wrote on Twitter.

Democrats have long pushed for Trump to disclose his returns. Democratic members of the House Oversight Committee last month asked committee Chairman Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) for a vote on a bill that would require Trump and all future presidents to release their tax returns.
{mosads}Trump during his presidential campaign broke with years of political tradition by not releasing his tax returns as a candidate for a major political party.
Secretary of the Treasury Steve Mnuchin last month said Trump does not have any plans to release his returns.
“The president has no intention — the president has released plenty of information and I think has given more financial disclosure than anybody else,” Mnuchin said during a White House press briefing.
