Calif. Dems could miss votes because of diverted plane: report
A group of Democratic lawmakers from California could miss scheduled House votes Tuesday evening after their plane was diverted to Kansas City, Mo., for a medical emergency, Politico reported.
Reps. Nanette Barragán, Tony Cárdenas, Alan Lowenthal and Linda Sánchez were reportedly on an American Airlines flight from Los Angeles to Washington when it was forced to land in Kansas City on Tuesday afternoon.

Other House Democrats were said to be on the flight. The medical emergency did not involve the lawmakers, Politico reported.
The lawmakers are expected to catch a flight from Kansas City to Washington that is scheduled to land at about 6:30 p.m., when the House will take up its only votes of the day.
