Maxine Waters: Stormy Daniels should give her interpretation of Trump’s mental health

Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) slammed President Trump in a series of tweets Sunday morning, saying the adult-film star who allegedly had an affair with him should give her “interpretation” of his mental state.

“For a president whose own staff & appointees have referred to him as ignorant, stupid, & whose own Sec. of State Tillerson has not denied calling him a moron, Trump needs to get out of the name calling game,” Waters tweeted.

“We might also inquire of Stormy Daniels about Trump’s mental state since she has observed him up close. I’m sure she could give us a revealing interpretation of her observations,” she continued.

The Wall Street Journal reported earlier this year that Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, was paid $130,000 to not discuss an alleged affair with Trump early on in his marriage to first lady Melania Trump.

Trump’s personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, told The New York Times that he had made the payment out of his own pocket.

Daniels’s manager said that the adult-film star believes that Cohen’s confirmation releases her from the nondisclosure agreement she signed to receive the money, and that she can now discuss the issue publicly.

Waters on Sunday also appeared to reference a Washington Post report that Trump is angry and volatile over recent negative news coverage of his administration, including senior adviser Jared Kushner.

“Imagine the President of the United States rolling around the West Wing, disoriented, ranting, angry, carrying on and paranoid, dreaming up public policy — it’s a dangerous thing for America,” Waters tweeted. “Get ready for impeachment!”

Waters is a frequent critic of the Trump administration and has repeatedly called for his impeachment.
