Dem lawmaker responds to Melania Trump by wearing jacket with ‘I care’ taped to back
Rep. Dina Titus (D-Nev.) responded to first lady Melania Trump’s Thursday decision to wear a jacket with the words “I really don’t care. Do U?” while en route to visit immigrant children held in detention centers in Texas.
“Hey, #FLOTUS, try this on for size,” Titus said in a tweet, along with a picture of her with the sign “I Care” attached to her back.

The Daily Mail first reported that Trump was photographed on boarding a plane to visit the children wearing the Zara jacket.
{mosads}The visit came one day after President Trump gave into bipartisan pressure on Wednesday, signing an executive order aimed at ending family separations at the U.S.–Mexico border.
The first lady’s spokeswoman, Stephan Grisham, said in a statement that the jacket was not meant to convey a particular message.
“It’s a jacket. There was no hidden message,” Grisham said. “After today’s important visit to Texas, I hope the media isn’t going to choose to focus on her wardrobe,” adding, “(Much like her high heels last year).”
Trump was also photographed wearing the jacket when she returned to Joint Base Andrews later on Thursday.
