Reps. Tom Tiffany (R-Wis.) and Andy Ogles (R-Tenn.) are set to introduce legislation that would curb the flow of Palestinians looking to resettle in the United States.

The bill, “Guaranteeing Aggressors Zero Admission Act,” — dubbed the GAZA Act — would prevent the Biden administration from issuing visas to Palestinians.

“We can’t let President Biden abuse our parole and visa rules to bring unvetted Palestinians into American communities the way he did with thousands of unvetted Afghans,” Tiffany said in a post on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter. “I introduced the GAZA Act to protect America’s national security.”

In his newsletter to constituents, Tiffany said the bipartisan support for Israel has been encouraging but “a few far-left, fringe” members have made shocking statements.

The text of the bill, shared exclusively with conservative outlet Breitbart, reportedly would prevent the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) from allowing Palestinians to use the “agency’s parole pipeline.”

Biden helped resettle 100,000 Afghanistan refugees in 2021, according to reports. Tiffany and Ogles said they are introducing the bill with the hope that it won’t happen again.

The legislation comes in the wake of the Palestinian militant group Hamas’ attack on Israel last weekend that has left more than 2,800 people dead on both sides.

Israel on Friday ordered 1 million people in Gaza to evacuate within 24 hours in preparation for a possible ground operation.

“The IDF calls for the evacuation of all civilians of Gaza City from their homes southwards for their own safety and protection and move to the area south of the Wadi Gaza,” the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) wrote in a post on X.

Early Saturday, Israel extended the deadline until 4 p.m. local time to evacuate through two main roads in northern Gaza and head south — but that time has since passed.
