Congresswoman ‘all good’ after car crushed by construction equipment

Rep. Marcy Kaptur (D-Ohio) said she is “all good” after her car was crushed by construction equipment on Wednesday. 

Kaptur said she was on her way back from dropping off vegetables from her garden to a local pantry when the incident occurred.

“Many thanks to all who have reached out. All good here,” Kaptur tweeted Wednesday evening. 

She added that she’ll be “back at it in the morning.”

Kaptur’s office had confirmed to Cleveland 19 that the congresswoman was examined at a local hospital as a precaution but is “doing well” and would be resuming her normal schedule in the morning. 

Kaptur also thanked the first responders from the Toledo Police and Fire departments who offered immediate assistance, her office said in a statement to the local outlet.
