READ: House Judiciary report laying out grounds for impeachment

Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee on Saturday released a 55-page report defining offenses that warrant impeachment as they move forward with crafting articles of impeachment against President Trump.

The document, which was put together by congressional staff and counsel, covers the “constitutional grounds for presidential impeachment,” including bribery, abuse of power, betrayal of the national interest and corruption, according to a summary.

Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.) said in a foreword to the document that while earlier reports “remain useful points of reference,” they “no longer reflect the best available learning on questions relating to presidential impeachment.”
